It’s been nearly three months since I last added a post. In that time I’ve started going to college, and have been busier than a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. If it isn’t for school or the family I have very limited time for it. I’ve had to cut out most of the normal activities of my pre-college life. It sucks, but I’ve neglected my education outside of the navy for longer than I should have. I recently attended a re-enlistment of a guy that I used to work with, and a few people asked if I was still hiking. I had to tell them that I was too busy with other things. It has taken more dedication to college than I previously thought possible. I’m only starting my third class, and I already have to juggle my extra-curricular activities with schoolwork. Tomorrow, I’m scheduled for a four hour shift to be a zombie for The Walking Dead Escape at Petco Park as part of Comic-con this year. It has definitely been a learning experience, to figure out what needs to be cut out and what needs to stay. In a year or so, I hope to have a bachelors degree and something to take with me when I depart the navy. Until then, I’ll be juggling chainsaws with my schedule and trying to do the best I can in school.
Wow, that is a lot of responsibility! I am sure you will rock it.
Thanks, there are times that it’s overwhelming, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
